SIDI’s goal is to promote a more sustainable approach to the way we live. In conjunction with urban planners, decision makers, developers and professional activists the aim is to address important matters such as climate changesustainable blue-carbon ecosystem and ecosystem market place. In simple terms, SIDI supports environmental ‘sustainability’ interconnected with modern urban development schemes. As proof, SIDI publicly proposed and promotes novel urban development schemes in the Illawarra region, such as:

  • the upgrade of Wollongong harbor (Belmore Basin) to help reverse Illawarra’s carbon footprint
  • the establishment of coastal parklands and walkways in the Illawarra region
  • the restoration of threatened blue-carbon ecosystem
  • the establishment of sustainable eco-village(s) near the (Wollongong) city centre, and so on

SIDI can provide answers to many of the above such challenges.
